Notes

In For Yarn’s Sake hangs a scarf inspired by the Harry Potter movies in Gryffindor colors. If you buy the yarn to make the scarf, they will give you the pattern for free.

One day Ryan came to pick me up for lunch and he saw the scarf. “Could you make me one, but in green?” “You mean Slytherin colors?” “Yeah.” “You know they’re the bad guys right?” “They’re not all bad. They’re misunderstood. Could you?” “Of course I could, do you want a Slytherin scarf?” “Yes.” “OK” “This will be the best scarf ever.”

So I am making a Slytherin scarf for Ryan for the winter. The pattern is extremely simple. It’s made as a big tube so that it’s double thick when flattened into a scarf. It’s also miles of plain stockinette. God help me.

I used every scrap of three skeins of the green. Counting the fringe the scarf is probably another 10 inches long.
