03.05.12 - Just finished weaving in ends and still need to block but it’s done at last!
03.04.12 - Ran out of yarn again. I’ll have to do the last round with yet another yarn. Found a mishmash handspun leftover skein that hopefully will work.
03.01.12 - Ripped back to last completed round and tied on with another handspun…I feel like it clashes, but hubby likes it….so we will see how it turns out!
02.28.12 - I ran out of yarn with 2.5 rounds left :( I think I may try to fins some closely matching fiber and spin some more…we will see
02.14.12 - On my third try yesterday I finally finished round 13! I was clearly distracted - gosh!
02.09.12 - On round 12 - this thing has really started to grow! Interesting construction too.
02.07.12 - Managed to re-do the first 4 rounds with 6 repeats (as written)…pinned out it was approx. 9” (see terrible picture…sorry)
02.06.12 - Oh man…partway through the 5th round I just realized that I only did 5 repeats of the pattern instead of 6….do I stick with it or start again??
02.06.12 - Pattern from an old Decorative Crochet Magazine.
Original specs are:
Size: 18.75” diameter
Materials: Codonnet crochet cotton size 5, white, about 225 yds. Steel crochet hook US size 9(1.25mm)
Gauge: First 4 rounds measure 3.75” in diameter
My gauge has come out at 8” for the first 4 rounds with a size J (6.0mm) hook. So if I manage to get to the last round without running out of yarn I will have an almost 40” doily.
