Notes

Addiction, addiction! To the pattern - there will be more - and to both yarns. It’s my first time using Artisan Yarns Silk and Baby Camel Fingering and the result is brilliant. Many have lauded its softness but the sheen and lightweight texture after blocking are worthy of any fairy tale! I’m pretty pleased I mixed it with the Tosh Sock merino; it makes for a pretty effect.

I initially wanted to call this silky, wispy shawl ‘Vanilla and Strawberry Icecream’ but as I was blocking it I heard it whispering ‘Battenberg Cake’ to me. It’s a retro kind of cake for a vintage-styled shawl and the colours are perfect.

Aren’t you a teeny bit tempted to cast on this shawl? :-)
