I was inspired by bunnyknitter’s beautiful pear-coloured Midsummer Mittens, found here:

I followed most of her modifications (although mine are knitted in the round): casting on 37 instead of 36 stitches and knitting up seven welts instead of six. I will be making these again, using instead 3.5 and 3.75 sized needles.

The Manos Silk Blend was a beautiful gift from Penelope at http://lisfourlove.blogspot.fr/ It was lush and decadent to knit with. Perfect. Please note that two pairs of mittens can be made with one skein of this yarn.
