Notes

8-28-17

Just picked up the shawl after lightly wet blocking it. Soaked it, spun it out, then laid it on the ground to dry. No pins. OMG. Deliciously soft and cuddly. The sections evened out and it grew a bunch. The long side is ~100”. Only 39” or so down the spine.
-- went up a needle size for both needles. was the right call
-- Wanted to use as much of my yarn as possible. The lace section is per pattern directions. Figured out that the transition row was necessary if ending up with an even number of repeats and then decided to go until I would run out of green yarn before switching to ribbing
Ribbed my heart out until I didn’t have enough to do 2 more rows and bind off.

8-8-17

Using 7 and 8 needles instead of 6 and 7 as shawls always turn out too small. Hopefully I’ll have enough yarn. If not, this pattern seems pretty adjustable.

Ran out of the first skein of green purling back on the last row of section 1.

Hoping section 2 will take 1 skein of each color, leaving the second skein of pink for the ribbing.
