09-11-07: The pattern for this is almost finished, and I’ve included instructions for a version with a brim and a bonus preemie size. The next stage is the test knitting.

09-13-07 Added some pictures of the hat on my head. It’s not as slouchy here because my hair’s tied in a loose bun and it’s filling in the poof. With straight hair there’s a bit more slouch. With the ‘fro, it’s a nicely accomodating hat.

I like the way the brim is a bit flippy because of the wide turning ridge so I sometimes wear it down.
