6/29/16 I love this pattern and I love this pattern-yarn combination, but let’s be honest - I’m never going to wear knit socks. I barely wear the ones I’ve made so far. They are just far to nice to squish into a shoe and its also rarely cold enough here in Los Angeles to need wool socks. Turning this yarn into the Rikke Hat by Sara Young =)
1/14 At the heel for the first sock and I think I might try the Fish Lips Kiss Heel - it looks and reads like it might be a much better fit than the usually heel flap and gusset (plus I hate picking up those stitches and having to do rounds and rounds of decreases).
1/12 This is the third project I’ve busted this yarn out for - but I think this pattern is a winner. I’m one repeat in and it’s working out nicely, a little busy with all the color changing but still awesome. Unlike fingering weight socks these are working up fairly fast… at least faster than normal.
Mod: Changed the regular knit stitches in the ribbing to twisted (kbl) knit stitches. My socks are never snug enough so hopefully this will help create a firmer ribbing.
