Yeay, finally casting on for this! If I start now, it might be ready before it’s cold.

8/25/10 - Almost done with chart A, part 1 and front pocket completed. Didn’t do the hem facing stitch, just decreased sts by 5%, increasing 2 rows before turning row. So far so good.

9/13/10 - Just past joining the front pocket. I’m working 4 more repeats of the middle cable pattern for extra length.

10/13/10 - So, so close to being done with the body. Discovered pocket joined completely crookedly, sigh. Undid and sewed back down.

10/18/10 - Yeay, fixed the pocket with minimal disaster and now the body is complete!

11/17/10 - Plugging along, almost to the hood decrease rows.

11/28/10 - Hood finished, woo! 1st sleeve started.

12/6/10 - 1st sleeve done and 2nd started.

12/15/10 - All knitting done! Just need to sew down hem, block and seam together. Been competing with Xmas projects

12/19/10 - Hem sewn and blocking now, almost there…

Done! My Mods: Didn’t do the hem facing stitch, just decreased sts by 5%, increasing 2 rows before turning row. Overall gauge was bigger so knit smallest size to produce a Medium (38”). Added 4 extra repeats of center cable section of the body to lengthen it.
I also used this handy chart to graft the hood together in pattern.

Update: This won 1st place at the State Fair of Texas in the Slipover Sweater category! I’m so stoked!
