Aug 2011 - entered in annual Show. Took 2nd - Judge said only because it was “not a full shawl” - that’s OK, as I got 1st place for a square shawl too :-)
12 June - blocking. Blocked (not harshly) to 62” wide, 30” deep and 42” approx along the wings
Finished weight is 52g
10 June - hampered by an injury to my hand, and an evening’s tinking - still not finished. The edging is threatening my sanity: circa 600 stitches in the most monotous repetition…
Eight rows and the cast off to go.
Desperately, desperately need this to be done.
8 June - becoming tedious now. I need this to be done.
7 June - picked this up again today. Took quite a while to get back into the swing of it! Uncertain how large to make it now as I have been using the yarn in another project. Need to do some weighing and calculating…
Think I’m more or less at the half way point now.
14 May - identifying this as a candidate knit for the Colourmart Lovers group’s contest - WIP class. Begins 20th May, so I may soon get around to picking up this WIP and bashing it into submission. I’m hoping that this can be completed in 4 or 5 days. This smacks of optimism, I know - especially as I still feel that I want to make it larger rather than smaller… and I estimate it to be only 5% done yet.

Project re-started, using the rechart from sandralice. Cast on tonight. First repeat of R1-33 completed and all is going very well indeed. I’m very grateful for all the work put into re-presenting this gorgeous pattern.
