Jan 19th: new Colinette Creative Pack of Jitterbug scraps arrived today.
2011: Jan 14th. Picked up the blankie again and added 7 squares this evening. Good to see it grow once more!
31st March:
I think I shall have to rename this project as my Community Blanket - I love the way that people are being so helpful and so very generous. I can’t help grinning while I knit my wee squares.
1st April:
I am finding this blanket addictive. I am unable to just add-a-square-a-day and once I pick it up I find myself engrossed. Due to the generous donations of yarn I have an ever-widening colour choice and I find myself almost “painting” with yarn. The choice of the next yarn is even greater fun than seeing how it knits up into a square!
1st April: I now have a geeky spreadsheet to tell me just how long this thing has been going on for. I expect the numbers to become large. But just look at that formula - I’m becoming a bona fide geek!
Scrap sock yarn blankie. I’m going to be knitting squares when I go to town as they are easy to carry around and simple to knit in the social atmosphere of the ferry to Kirkwall. This blanket isn’t going to come together in a hurry, it’s a long term project.
Donations of scrap sock yarn are very much welcomed! Can/will trade surpluses. I would like your stories to go with the yarns if at all possible.
I am pledged to donate to p-hop for yarn donations received.
