I made this pattern as a toy for my 3 yr old niece rather than use it as a pin cushion as per the pattern. I made it in cotton instead of recommended yarn, as I thought it would be a bit more hard wearing for a toddler. I just used up bits of yarn I had left over from my fair isle wash cloths. It takes up only a small amount of yarn to make this up. Also I didn’t put in the card backing which prevents the pins going through the pincushion as this is just a toy, so it’s super squishy.
I haven’t attached the Velcro yet, but that’s easily done.
