First hat
Following instructions for the Teen size, although I think it’s knitting up a little bit bigger. CO 112 sts with US 5s on Jan 13, 2024. Knit 2x2 ribbing for 3 inches. Switched to stockinette and knit to 6.75 inches total from the cast-on before starting the decreases. Finished Feb 2, 2024. 60.7 g of yarn used; 106 yards out.

I kept knitting with the US 5s and it made a nice dense fabric but was a little hard on my hands to knit. I used up a little bit over half of the yarn so need to figure out if I can get another hat out of the yarn that’s left.

Second hat
Cast on a second hat on Feb 28, 2024. CO 104 sts with US 6s. Started stockinette at 3 inches from CO edge. Started decreases at 6.5 or so inches from CO edge.

I was able to knit a hat before I ran out of yarn! Had a long tail to weave in, but I won at yarn chicken! 56.1 g of yarn used, 98 yards out.

Gave one hat to Teddy.
