Notes

I was looking for a baby blanket to make for a friend and I also have about 4 skeins of this yarn hanging out. I used about half of one ( more or less) to make the one I made. I followed the pattern exactly. It came out a little on the small side, but I crochet tightly which is why I upped my hook size half a size. Recently though on a completely unrelated search I found that a similar pattern was featured in a out of print Paton’s beehive ( #129) booklet and now I’m dying to get my hands on a copy.

Overall this blanket is awesome and very easy to make, the repeat of the pattern makes it very easy to take with me and not need to have a copy of the pattern on me all the time. If I make it again I might make it larger since the original I think goes about 13 rectangles across.

ETA: the pictures make the blue look different, but it is a true pale baby blue, although this blue looks lovely, it is not that deep of a blue.
