Crazy Magic Ball Swap and Inner Beast Amigurumi
01/08/17: Needed some mohair on top of the horns! Vintage button eyes. Notice Margaret’s nifty crochet flower as a hat. Nice fat arms and legs. Pretty colorful guy/gal to conquer the Inner Beast!
01/06/17: Body done, legs done, but not quite according to pattern. Made them fatter and longer by 2 more rounds and will probably think of different “shoes.” Took photo before I started the head; also photo of button box because I’ll have a lot to choose from soon for the eyes. Head mostly done and stuffed. The yellow has been absolutely perfect companion to all the bright colors in the MB!
01/04/17: Have started the crochet! Can do about 15 minutes then must give my hand a break. Using I hook and not holding too tight makes this doable.
01/02/17: Picked yellow superwash wool to be carry yarn. Put on Margaret’s wristlet to keep my wrapped left thumb/wrist warm. It’s just a wonderful thing to cover up the wrap stuff! Thanks Margaret - I do need this pattern for when I can crochet lots once again (after the inner beast thing).
01/01/17: LaughingPurple’s pattern is downloaded for us. Looks like a wild ride is in store. The beast will need to be made with the magic/crazy ball held with another yarn. My ball has so much blue, I shall be going into stash to look for something to pair it with. Maybe yellow? It may be a few days before I get to this, as I’m finishing my Icelandic sweater, and also do need to go slow with crochet as my rehab-ing hands allow.
Photos done December 5, 2016:
Variety of yarn in the ball! M specializes in variety! Wonderful.
Many gifties. See my post in the IFF group.
