Stage One - texture and lace - should be within my capabilities. ;D

07-11: I’m not sure I like the double gusset under the foot. It seems slow to decrease - I’m used to decreasing my cuff-down gussets on 2 of every 3 rows - so it feels like I’m knitting a lot more stitches. Can’t have that! LOL.

07-22: It’s been way too hot to do much knitting with wool, even with sock wt yarn. I did finally finish a few days late. I knit that heel flap to 2-7/8” long, but once I finished the sock it barely measures 2”! Dunno what happened there, but it’s been years since I’ve done an EoP flap, so perhaps it just shrunk up while I was knitting the foot.

I really like the way this yarn striped, but I’m not terribly fond of the lace pattern. I deleted the pattern on the top of the foot as I approached the toe and I like the way that looks.
