May 5 - Yeah, 10 days late. Turns out circles get bigger as you go outwards (i joined the first skein when the circle was 13 inches radius and used 2.1 more for the last 7 inches and picot bindoffs take for freakin ever. But the needle size seems good for the right amount of drape and so does the diameter - 40 inches on the block, probably a tiny bit less in relaxed state.

I modified the pattern that’s translated from Danish and available for free in order to only have one row of leaves on the border, like the picture on Doilyhead’s website.

If a miracle occurs, I will be able to finish this in time to get it to NZ for Nanna’s birthday. Did 50 rows the first day, but now progress has slowed down due mostly to my effing things up. I wish I’d used a slightly smaller needle, but it’ll be fine. Next time. And i definitely won’t need the ~6 skeins of cotton i have.
