Notes

This was my first baby blanket, and it’s definitely a pattern I’d make again. I wasn’t sure if the boucle yarn would work, but the parents like blues and greens and these were the yarns that spoke to me. I’m very happy with the final effect, and the cottons are sooo soft!

The error in the pattern, as described in other Ravelry project notes, is that there are two stitches too few along each edge in each pattern row with 0 stitches before the feather-and-fan repeats--for instance, on the very first pattern row with three feather-and-fans instead of just one. (The problem is that the pattern is 18 + 1 stitches, and since the number of stitches goes up by 6 between pattern rows, you only add 2 x 18 instead of 2 x (18 + 1) in each section.)

My solution was to do k2tog, k1, k2tog at the beginning and end of each edge, but anything that removes a decrease at the ends of each edge will work.
