Notes

Before starting this project I looked at a variety of sleep sack patterns that were free on the Internet to get an idea of how to try this type of project out. This was my first time knitting with double points. I cast on 44 stitches and tried to evenly space the stitches among the needles.

I knitted in the round for about 12 inches then began decreasing by K2tog, then knitting 2 stitches, then K2tog until I had about 6-8 stitches left. I cut the tail of my yarn and threaded it through the remaining stitches and drew in the opening until it was nice and snug. I tied off the tail and wove in the end on the inside of the sleep sack.

It’s a very simple project, but it was fun to play with double points and get the hang of using them. Now I’m ready to tackle a more complicated sleep sack for my niece!
