Notes

Update: For 2012 my goal is to make 10 scarves. I finished the first one in June 2012, now on to making 9 more before the end of November!

5 scarves made for the 2011 Campaign!

If you want to participate in Operation Gratitude’s Scarf Campaign here is a link with all the details. Sizing requirements are 5-7″ across and no longer than 45″- 50″.

Update: I’m also using other stitch variations and other yarns to try and make as many scarves as I can. The info below was used for the first two scarves I made.

I’m using a size I Tunisian crochet hook for this project. I’m not following a pattern, however it would be easy to replicate without one.

Chain the desired width (I chained 28 stitches), complete a forward and return pass of Tunisian Simple Stitch, then begin alternating a knit one, purl two in Tunisian crochet. Each return pass should be the standard return. Stop once you get to the desired length of the scarf. My length ended up being about 48 inches, so the two balls of yarn were a perfect match for what I needed.

Happy Stitching!
