I am so excited to make this sweater for one of my dearest friends. Eric is going through a tough time right now and deserves it!
08/08 -- Cast on a sleeve during opening ceremonies after 8:08PM-ET. Achieved gauge finally on 3.00mm (US2 Addis) needles. Knit an inch before realizing that I should knit the body first in case I have to get another dyelot for the sleeves!
08/09 -- Started panicking about not having enough yarn to finish this project. called both Island Yarn Co. and Woolen Works after checking the stashes. PM’ed someone who had to make the sweater smaller for her husband and will be able to take out 20 stitches in the back and 30 in the front.
08/10 -- Finished the first ball and the back measures 21-1/2 inches wide 5 inches tall unblocked. Estimated that front/back each are at 30 inches tall so 6 balls per side. I think I have enough yarn after all. :)
08/11 -- Called Eric about the yarn change and his chest size. He measures 42 to 44 inches max. I think this sweater is going to look awesome on him!
08/12 -- Am trying to finish at least the 2nd ball, if not close. Work gets in the way. :(
08/14 -- Finished 2nd ball after completing 76th row at first pass of pattern. Took a couple of photos and emailed the one featured here to Eric. HE LOVES IT!!
05/09/2009 -- Putting into hibernation status for a bit. Intention is to finish this pullover in time for Christmas 2009.
