I decided to go for a little heavy version with DK weight yarn.

I bought several skeins from Colourmart, but this is the first time I ever knitted with one seriously. I love this merino DK - the fabric is nicely dense and sleek. I can tell it’s a very high-quality merino. It’s a little hard to knit with it because of its splittiness, but the result is totally worth the effort. I cannot wait to finish it and soak.

Almost done, now binding off. I could only knit about 33cm (center length) and 4 rows of the bottom edge, for the project had grown too large to hold with 60” needles.

BO is giving me muscle pain…

It’s a great pattern, and the yarn is great as well. After wet-blocking, the yarn bloomed nicely.
