I have never knitted an aran pattern before, and I was nervous about it. I chose an inexpensive yarn; in case I made a disaster of the project, not much would be lost. I warned my family that I would be especially cranky over the next few weeks.

But this blanket is a pleasure to knit. It’s not difficult at all. Establish the pattern carefully at the beginning, and the rest is a breeze. I am absolutely delighted with the result. I will definitely knit this one again.
