My daughter-in-law sent me a picture of a blanket that she saw in a shop. I copied her picture and this is the result.

I cast on 126 stitches
I ribbed 6 rows at the bottom and the top.
I also ribbed 12 stitches at the beginning and end of each row throughout.
The cables are 8 stitches each with 2 purls between each stitch.
I thought the blanket was too narrow. next time I would do 12 cables instead of 10 to increase the width.
I knitted it up to the length that I liked.
