2014’s “upgraded” version here!

Yes, more of these guys. I can’t help it -- they’re just so much fun, and they’re the perfect thing for when I’ve finished a bigger project and am not sure what to cast on next. And I can basically knit them without thinking, which is always a plus.

The plan was to give them as holiday gifts next year. And while I still plan to do that, I decided I can’t wait that long to give some of them away. Both because they’re too cute not to share, and because they are starting to take up more than their share of room in my crafting area. So I will give a few to my kids’ teachers as end-of-the-year gifts, with little notes that say “Thanks for making me wiser.” I do love a good pun. To this end, I’ve started to make some that are less holiday/winter -- no scarves and beads or buttons instead of jingle bells.

My favorite changes every time I knit a new one. But at the moment, I am loving the one with the red and pink stripes and gray head. I also like the yellow guy in the fair-isle cardi. ;)
