Intended as a last-minute birthday gift for my MIL, ultimately sent to the frog pile. I can’t pinpoint exactly what I don’t like about the finished necklace, but I’m just…not feeling it. Stray thoughts:

• Followed the pattern to the letter, no mods. The actual knitting process was quick and enjoyable; despite my feelings about the FO, the pattern was lots of fun.
• Used a bit of leftover Tosh from the stash. Post-blocking, the yarn fuzzed a wee bit. On a sweater? this wouldn’t be a big deal. On a necklace? Bleargh! I’d aim for a more slick/silky yarn, instead.
• Most of the FOs seen on Ravelry have a more - man, how to describe it? - gradual laddering from the top of the belly downwards. As in: Belly rows with three beads, five beads, etc. This is not written into the pattern and appears to be a common mod.
