Confession: The majority of this cowl was knit on a train without aid of the pattern. Mistakes were made, short rows went awry and the end result…is not my best work. Luckily, the welted scrunchiness of the cowl hides my messy stitches quite well.

Pre-blocking, I loved this thing with the passion of a thousand firey suns. Post-blocking…well, between the bath and the softness of the yarn, my poor cowl lost most of its heft. I may frog and reknit at a tighter gauge (and with a closer eye on the pattern).

Still think its kind of groovy (get it?), though.

Update: Frogged and reborn as yet another Arbutus, as I didn’t like the way this sat on my neck.
