I have been working on this project for a while. My daughter is graduating from HS and is going into Forensic Biochemistry. I hope I can get it done in time because I have a son that is graduating also. I had to teach myself how to crochet Tunisian style. I think it is working out perfect for this project. I am working it in 19 stitch stripes. (16 stitches per block and 2 border with 1 stitch that does not count…ends up being the edge). I am adding a strip as I go instead of individual blocks and piecing it together.

I want to thank Saffiran’s Mendeleev’s Rainbow Blankie. I used her notes and charts to create this. It still took a month of planning. Also Gege’s Super Mario Bros. Super Blanket. Her video’s taught me how to do this.

March 30 - 10 out of 18 strips done…
August 11 - on my last strip and it is just a matter of buttoning up the millions of tails and put an edge on it. So close.
August 14 - Done now weaving in the tails.
August 15 - Put a simple edge of gray DC & purple HDC.
I haven’t really counted how many skeins of yarn but the blanket is very heavy when folded up. Size can fit a full size bed.
