My future mother-in-law sent me this pattern; I had to learn to crochet to make it! All in all, I think it went well and turned out ok in the end.

Had a hard time finding handles I liked - I must have looked in about four different shops before I found these!

Opted for crochet flowers on the front, and buttons on the back, rather than buttons all the way around. I think it looks rather sweet.

An awful lot of sewing at the end though, to put it all together. Fortunately I know my way around a sewing machine! But the handles were a pain.
