Here is the second lot of knitted animals for baby due next week (!)

I was planning to turn these into a cot mobile but on second thoughts I might just keep them as hands-on toys to be played with.

The caterpillar and bear are adapted from a range of patterns by Knitables. Ravelry only allows me to link to one pattern per project, so I’ve linked to the bear pattern, above, but you can navigate to the other patterns from there.

As before, I made various changes along the way - for example the bear’s legs are adapted from a lion pattern in the same range and I knit everything in the round, where possible, rather than following the flat instructions.

The pig is adapted from a book of knitted egg cosies by Susie Johns, with improvised legs and t-shirt added by me. (A link to the pattern book can be found on my Knitted Menagerie Part 1, here http://www.ravelry.com/projects/susie-f/easter-bunny-egg-...).

I still have loads more animal patterns and may well add to the menagerie over time… (but really this has been a way to keep my mind and fingers busy in the last couple of weeks, on days when my body has been too achey and inflated to move).
