Notes

Wow - this yarn is sooooft, and surprisingly well suited to this pattern. Two balls is just enough - the main part of the shawl took one ball and the lace border used up almost all of the second ball.

One word of warning… this project went through a near death experience as I almost felted it on a handwash cycle prior to blocking (it survived by the skin of its teeth, but has shrunk a little bit, to be more of a scarf than a shawl). To be safe, my advice would be to avoid washing it at all, but maybe just spritz it with a little cool water during blocking.

The finished scarf has turned out extremely soft, as light as air and not remotely itchy. It has none of that irritable scratchiness that you used to get with vintage angora. (In fact - one small compensation for my near-felting horror is that the fabric has bonded together more tightly and no longer sheds)
