I casted on 49 stitches for this scarf as the yarn I’m using is a fingering weight instead of a worsted or bulky one.
The yarn is very soft and agreable to knit.
For the first day, only 19 cm knitted. I could have casted on only 41 stitches instead of 49. It’s very wide and with a yarn so thin it doesn’t grow very fast.
On the second day I discovered an errore about 3cm under the place I ened last night. While unravelling I realized that the result of this stitch is the same as the brioche stitch except that the brioche stitch is knitted much faster than the stitch inthe pattern. So after re knitting the rows unravelled I decided to switch to brioche and I when 1 needle size bigger to keep nearly the same sample. Now the future scarf measures 41 cm… 43,5 cm (17 in). I’ve jointed the second color.
On the third day I continued the second color band.
On the fourth day I’ve just finished the second color band and begun the thrid (only 6 rows)… A few rows of the 3rd color have been added.
On the fifth day I continued with the third color. Not much knitting time on Christmas eve…
On the sixth day, I’ve just finished the third color and I’m back to the second color.
On the seventh day I only knitted 7 rows, and no knitting at all on the eighth day due to shoulder pain…
On the nineth day I knitted again and finished the second part of the second color. I even begun the second part of the first color. I hope to finish it tomorrow.
On the tenth day, I finished this scarf. It’s long and soft…
