My first project, completed under the tutelage of streetcarvisions. According to her, this is my “Sarcasm Hat“.

I’m pleased with how the product turned out. As you can tell from the photos, my tension varied quite a bit from beginning to end: I began loose and finished off at what I think was a good tension. For that reason, when I went to sew up the hat, it turned out very lopsided! So there’s a flap at the back … but for a first attempt, I think it’s good.

Now that I have the hang of this tension thing, I might try this pattern again—and knit it a little larger. Following the pattern exactly made it quite snug.
