These hats used between 28 and 34 grams each, with about 8 grams being the green and/or brown of the leaves and stem and the remaining quantity being the main body of the hat.

I played around a bit with the crown decreases, including keeping the placement as per the pattern but using a ssk in place of k2tog, keeping the k2tog and adjusting the placement (in order to form a smooth diagonal decrease line), and using a centered double decrease (s2kp) on every other round rather than the single decrease every round. I ended up reverting back to the original decreases given in the pattern because I think that gives the best overall look to the leaves.

A few of these hats were made on dpn’s and some on 16” circulars with dpn’s for the crown decreases, but most were done using magic loop.
