Blocked Gauge = 17.5 sts and 24 rows = 10 cm
2013 - I love this design & the yarn but not together. 16sts/4” is far too loose a gauge for this superwash yarn. Will re-knit this design using a heavier weight non-superwash yarn in the future.
2012.01.08 - I couldn’t hold off knitting this any longer - I really think that it will be a perfect layering piece.
My gauge is off but I’m not really that concerned - I’ll try it on as I go and make adjustments as necessary. I wanted a ‘dense’ (=very warm) cardigan so I opted to stick with 5 mm needles rather then going up a size. Plus sometimes I find that superwash yarns become very ‘relaxed’ over time & and I don’t want the piece to grow too much.
As an aside - Tanis Green Label is so lovely - the colour (or in this case hint of colour) are stunning and the quality of the yarn is fantastic. It is a joy to work with.
2012.01.15 - Done - I can’t believe how quickly this knit up!
I’m very pleased with the finished product - both the style and the fit of the piece are exactly what I had envisioned.
I followed the pattern exactly as written. The only slight ‘difficultly’ that I ran into was picking up sts along the collar. I couldn’t make sense of the instructions as written so I just picked up as I normally would.
