Edit: I finally found a copy of the pattern. You can find it here or follow the ‘about this pattern’ link.

9/10/2010: I made this afghan for my friends for their wedding. It was a bit of work, but I love how it turned out. The colors were the colors of their wedding, which is why I chose them. They loved the blanket.

I found the pattern online… somewhere. I can’t remember where. I was looking for something that would symbolize joining people together and when I spotted this block, I knew it was absolutely perfect. There were some flaws in the written pattern, so I had to redo the test blocks a few times, trying to determine what was wrong. Once I had that figured out, it wasn’t too hard. It’s the first large crochet project I’ve ever done and I’m so proud of it. ^_^

Each block is about 8” in size and there are 5 down and 6 across. I can’t remember how big the border turned out to be, but I think the whole thing was around 4’ x 4.5’ in size. It was big enough to curl up in, that’s for sure.
