After trial and error I came up with the following pattern: Provisional cast on of 60 stitches: https://www.purlsoho.com/create/provisional-cast-on-video/
Row 1: knit across all 60 stitches
Row 2: Sl first stitch and purl across rest of the stitches
Row 3: Sl first stitch, kfb of next stitch, knit to remaining last three stitches, K 2tog, K1
Row 4: Sl first stitch, and purl across rest of the stitches
Repeat rows 3 & 4 for pattern…
