Slipped this in as another 2012 finished object. When I knit this (at the beginning of the year!) I used the cable chart from Knitty’s Lia sweater to plan out my cables. I should have added a border to help with the major curl this thing has going on, and possibly some purl troughs like the sweater has. Oh well!

In the end I’m not sure if I like this. It’s useful to have around, but it’s just not great. The cables were never very visible in the first place (not great stitch definition with this yarn) and the stitch definition is even worse after it’s been fulled a bit. Oh well! I did use a provisional cast on and grafted the ends together, so it was a learning experience at the very least.

12/31 Made an attempt at fulling and the yarn did not want to do anything!!! Which is good, except right now. It did shrink a tiny bit and hopefully my aggressive blocking will help with the curl. I did not add any border to this when I knit it. Rookie mistake.

2/17 I’ve worn this headband a few times already, but it’s a bit big. I might try fulling it a tiny bit and blocking to get it to fit more snug. Otherwise I really like the finished product.
