Very nice pattern, I love the decreases. I knit to 8 1/2 inches before starting the decreases for the fold over brim.

My decreases are a little funny because when I went to switch to dpn’s I realized I don’t have any 7’s. I was too impatient to finish so I jumped down to 6’s and added a non-decrease row between the decrease rows so the top wouldn’t be too tight. The plain knit rows kept the decreases from bunching up anyway, so it all worked perfectly.

This is also the first time I’ve knit with anything Malabrigo, and I loved it as well. So soft, squishy and warm (that’s me modeling the hat, shhh). This color is also very nice. Hopefully not too exciting for a picky eighteen year old boy.
