Clue#1 finished Sunday eve 11th Nov 2012. I think my left leaning cables look wonky & the right ones looks better. Am wondering if it will look better after it is blocked. In the pic seems like I have a lot of needle holes. Maybe it is the yarn? Lion Brand Fisherman wool. I do love the halo effect which you can’t see in the pics. My second sweater ever. First one was a top down pullover. Started studying Clue#2 this a.m. I think I figured it out & started it this evening.
Clue#2 first sleeve completed 17th November 2012.
Clue#2 finished. Both sleeves completed 23rd November 2012.
Clu#3 about finished. Completed saddle shoulders. How easy it was. Finished.
Clue #4 finished. Attached the collar together using the live stitches from the cable needle. Using 18th/1st stitch k2tog on right side & p2tog on wrong side as I knitted the collar on each side using the 1st/last stitches. The joining of those 18 stitches was another story. Did the grafting stitch but had started on the inside edge instead of outside so for some reason the outside edges did not meet I suspect I had done a couple stitches twice. Should’ve have restarted right then. I had already woven in my ends so I also had to do surgery on it and just cut right through the seam. I couldn’t find the end of my woven in yarn I hid it so good! I did it a second time but this time I joined it right sides together and came out with a little bumpy seam so it needs to be done a third time. I was just so anxious to get the pockets sewn and blocked I figure I’ll do surgery again after Christmas. Anyway it is drying now so just have my buttons to sew on which are silver Celtic Knots. Here are the pics.
Buttons on. Turned out beautifully. I love it. On to make the next one.
12-24-12. Final picture. Love it.
