at my UU fellowship, during the month of February 2016, our elementary class kids worked on a self-portrait, which they painted in their classes and then presented to the congregation on the 28th.
during the service, our resident speaker this year, Connie Simon, gave a sermon on our own self-portraits, and essentially challenged us to think about what our own self-portrait would look like, and would we have the courage to make it… and, well, i’ve made mine.
she has a crochet hook, a book, and is wearing a mini shawl… made by the same size hook she has.
