This is such a pretty and simple pattern. Love it!

Mods

• Cowl: Cast on 104st. Started with the picot border but didn’t bother with a provisional cast-on since I find picking up and knitting from a long-tail cast-on almost easier. Made it 5 pattern repeats high and ended with 3 rows of moss stitch on 4mm needles.
• Hat: Cast on 80st on 4mm needles. Followed this example and started with a ribbed picot border - 5 1x1 ribbing rows + k2tog yo + 5 ribbing rows + 1 knit row for picking up the cast-on edge. Started decreases after 10cm.

Timeline
2016-08-30: Finished the cowl.
2016-08-31: Started on the hat.
2016-09-02: Finished the hat. Washed both and waiting for them to dry.
