General
2.25mm needle for ribbing, 2.5 for plain stockinet rows, 2.75 for colourwork rows.

Mods

  • Working cuff up and putting BOR on the outside of the mitts, ie opposite the thumb.
  • Colours Right mitt: background Clementine, ribbing & stripes Plum, leaves Comfrey, small flowers Magenta, large flowers Peony; Left mitt: leaves Magenta, small flowers Peony, large flowers Allium, the rest as right sleeve.
  • Knitted row 1-44, row 35-32, 13-24, and 1-13. Put thumb stitches (10st) on row 14.
  • Thumb: picked up 2 extra st on each side, 24st, knitted colourwork row 14-25 + ribbing 3 rows.
