Lovely yarn to work with. Very soft but spun firmly enough not to split. The colours are gorgeous, so deep and luminous, and they don’t run!
Light-weight capelet/poncho for chilly summer evenings.
I love how this turned out. The colourwork is so pretty!

Mods

• Using lifted increases.
• Removed a couple of rows from Chart 2.
• After finishing Chart 3 knitted 15 plain rows and then some more colourwork & picot edging = 13 rows colourwork + k 5 rows + 1 row k2tog yo + k 7 rows + cast off and knit down at the same time.
• Did a funnel neck with some colourwork & picot edging = knit 10 rows after picking up provisional cast-on + colourwork for 11 rows + k 3 rows + 1 row k2tog yo + k 6 rows + sewn bind-off.

Timeline
2016-06-09: I’m not bringing this to Wales so it will have to go into hibernation while I’m away.
2016-06-18: Started working on this again.
2016-06-27: Took a break from the cape part and started on the neckline/collar. Tried magic loop first but it’s really far too fiddly, particularly when doing stranded colourwork. Give me DPNs any day! But I knit a little firmer with those than with circulars so used one size larger needles (3.5mm).
2016-06-29: Finished the neckline.
2016-07-03: Wasn’t completely satisfied with the neckline so unraveled and did over.
2016-07-05: Ran out of yarn so will have to use offwhite Admiral for the last couple of rounds & the bind-off at the bottom. Only the bind-off left to do!!
2016-07-06: Why is binding off so slow and boooring?!
2016-07-07: Finished! Only blocking left.
