ETA 14 March 2019: Brioche is wonderfully warm and squishy but it’s very much NOT windproof. Since it’s always very windy here using it for hats turned out to be a very bad idea. So now I’ve frogged this hat and will use the yarn for something else.

Both yarns have a slight tendency to be splitty but they’re wonderfully soft and squishy and don’t bleed at all. Not even the dark orange!

This pattern could do with a good proofreading. All the missing words, misspellings, and mis-numbered sections make it quite tedious to follow.

• didn’t want a slouchy hat so knit section A twice and section B only once,
• first crown decrease round starts with 2 brk instead of 3,
• knit only two plain rounds between decrease rounds for crown.
