Making CDD like this: slip 2tog knitwise, slip 1 knitwise, knit these 3 stitches together through the backloop.

Mods

• started with 72st instead of increasing after the ribbing,
• leg knit pattern repeat 5 times before starting transitioning to heel,
• heel flap 32 r plain stockinet, knit first and slipped last st on all r, round heel, picked up 17 st on each side and knit through the backloop on the first r, decreased every third r until 34 st left on sole,
• foot knit pattern repeat 8 times, on last r decreased 3 st on instep,
• toe decreased every 3rd r until 40 st left then every r until 8 lef, cut yarn and pulled through.
