Mods

• 2.5mm needles for colourwork rounds, 2.25 for ribbing and plain stockinet rounds.
• Cast on 72st knit ribbing 10 rows (c.2.5cm).
• Knit 4 rounds instead of 8 between first and second decrease before the heel.
• To keep the BOR on the inside of the left sock too knit the heel for that on the two previous needles i.e. started with a purl row.
• Knit 30 heel flap rows, did not move BOR, picked up 16st for each gusset.
• After gusset decreases knit 24 rows, increasing to 72 st over the last 3.
• Used chart 2 (with a little tweaking) for both instep and sole.
• Knit 4 plain rows after end of colourwork before starting toe decreases.
• Decreased for toe every second round until 40 st left then every round until 8 left, cut yarn and pulled through remaining st.

2017-05-24: Finished first sock and started second.
2017-05-30: Finished second sock. Washed and waiting for them to dry.
