Notes

ETA 14 February 2016: Finally got round to lining it. (See second photo.)

Note to self: Next time use a sturdier/coarser yarn & possible smaller needles too.

General
Yarn is soft and nice to work with but splits very easily. And it turned out to be too soft for this project unfortunately. The finished cosy is far too limp and floppy. A trip through the washing machine made it felt enough to be useful however, even if it blurred the texturework a bit.

Mods

  • Knitting both sides at the same time on a circular needle.
  • Edge: Slip last stith with yarn in front, knit first stitch.
  • Felted in the washing machine (40C) to make up for too soft yarn.

Timeline
2015-08-18: I don’t think I have enough yarn, grrr!
2015-08-19: Finished the sides. There might be enough yarn left for the i-cord edge. I’ll keep my fingers crossed…
2015-08-20: I needn’t have worried, there’s plenty of yarn left.
2015-08-21: Finished! Washed and blocked.
2015-08-22: Too soft and floppy :-/
2015-08-23: Yes, a trip through the washing machine helped!
