General
I love ANKESTRiCK patterns. They’re so clear and concise, easy to knit and easy to adapt.
Will make this tunic-length.
Realised I didn’t like how uneven the first 40 or so rounds looked. (Before I got the hang of knitting with this yarn.) A soak and light blocking didn’t help much so I reknitted the yoke & sleeves and grafted to the original body.
This yarn needs a firm hand when knitting but it’s worth it. The result is a lovely smooth fabric with a beautiful shine. Machine washing 40C, stretching lightly afterwards and letting it dry flat.
Mods
- Using lifted increases.
- Added 6 more increases to the sleeves (+12st = 70st).
- Don’t like the way the raglan lines on the sleeves just peter out or the empty bit in the back so I’m starting the false seams directly after finishing the increases.
- Crocheted provisional underarm cast-on, 7st for the sides & 6 for the sleeves.
- Knitted 4 rows on sleeves without any decreases before starting on ribbing.
- Used k1-k2tbl bind-off for both sleeves and body.
- Continued knitting for 30 cm after the last increase on the body.
- Following this example finished with the same ribbing & curl-combo as the sleeves and neck.
