My first try, an otter, is totally adorable! And much less fiddly to make than I feared it would be. The rabbit is just as cute and so is the squirrel once I adjusted the placement of his eyes a bit.
I think I must have missed a few rounds in the middle of the body when I made the rabbit - he’s much shorter and rounder than the other two.

Mods
Knitting everything in the round.
Used the fox template for the cat’s head and ears & used a 5st i-cord for the tail. Didn’t like the result however - it looked more like a rat than a cat and no amount of fiddling made it better so I ended up threwing it away.
Did a bobble in white for the rabbit’s tail.

Timeline
2015-11-21: Knitted the otter.
2015-11-22: Knitted an experimental cat.
2015-11-24: Knitted the rabbit.
2015-11-27: Knitted the squirrel. I’m not completely satisfied with the placement of his eyes and nose though. I think they’ll need to be closer together. Will try to fix tomorrow.
2015-11-28: Moving the eyes a little downwards and the nose a teeny tiny bit upwards made all the difference!
