Notes

11/10/15 - Done! Just needs buttons and blocking. I’ve got almost 4 full balls of yarn leftover … a little annoyed about that. The arms fit perfectly but the body is a little snug. it looks good though. ** NOTE: soak and blocking made it fit PERFECTLY!!! **

Decided against the cable-cast on 2-stitch buttonholes in the pattern and go with the traditional bind off, cast-on version. The holes produced by the way the pattern states are super tiny (vs. what the pattern photo shows … very deceiving!) so I did 3 sts bind off and will then cast on 3 sts in the next row.

11/8/15 - Doing the button band! I am not a fan of picking up stitches. :) The pattern is confusing because i picked them all up starting at the bottom left edge (if you are looking at the sweater from the front) - and then the working yarn ends up at the other side of course, but the first row of the button band says (RS) so this threw me off … I cut the yarn and then started it again on the other side - so that the 1st side of the button band (RS) was also the RS of the full sweater.

10/27/15 - Started first sleeve. :)

This is my first pattern with charts, knitting flat. SO, I mistakenly worked all the charts from right-to-left only, thus messing it up. Had to rip it out (twice!). Now I know to read the charts back and forth for flat knitting.

pattern errors :
Chart 1, Row 20 has a “10” next to the line.
When beginning to set up the raglan markers and shaping, Row 5, 7, 9 incorrectly state “knit to 1 st before m, slm” right before Chart 2 is worked. These should all state “knit to m, slm”

Casting on for Medium but am planning on modifying slightly (i.e. extra raglan) for better bust fit. 40” is too big, but 36.5 is too snug. :)

Size 5’s to get gauge. Pattern doesn’t state what to use the smaller needles for, but I’m assuming it’s the cuff ribbing.
